The Castillo San Felipe de Barajas is a fortification located in the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias. It is located on a hill called San Lázaro and was built in 1657 during the Spanish colonial era. It suffered constant attacks on the part of the English and French, being the French commander Baron de Pointis who took the castle in mid 1697.
In 1984, UNESCO included the historical center of the City of Cartagena de Indias, the whole of its fortifications and the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas within the list of patrimony of the Humanidad.Se considers one of the seven wonders of Colombia, recognition that accredits him as one of the largest structures built in Colombian territory, after a survey carried out by the newspaper El Tiempo. It is also part of the historical and cultural heritage of Colombia , according to the Ministry of Culture.

Applies to students from public schools in Colombia. Present valid card. The value of the ticket includes a map of the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. It does not include the Tourist guide service or audio guides, these can be hired at the box office of the fort.
The administration of fortifications is self-sustaining, this means that all the resources entered by the box office of the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas and the temporary and permanent economic exploitation of the assets of cultural interest of the Nation (BIC) under the care of the ETCAR is reinvested in its maintenance, conservation and setting in value.
